9. Connecticut pluk

The 9th Connecticut Regiment was a Connecticut regiment of the Continental Army that was active from 1777 to 1781 during the American Revolutionary War. Raised as a "additional regiment" over the state's quota, the 9th Connecticut fought at the Battle of Setauket before guarding the Hudson River and fighting at the Battle of Rhode Island and the Battle of Springfield. The regiment merged into the 2nd Connecticut Regiment in 1781.
