33. Virginia pěší pluk

The 33rd Virginia Infantry Regiment was a Virginian regiment of the Confederate States Army that was active from 1861 to April 1865 during the Americká občanská válka. Raised in Shenandoah, Frederick, Hampshire, Hardy, Page, and Rockingham counties in the Shenandoah Valley (Hampshire and Hardy being located in present West Virginia), the regiment debuted at the First Battle of Bull Run and fought in Stonewall Jackson's Valley Campaign předtím, než byl připojen k Army of Northern Virginia from the Seven Days Battles to the Overland Campaign, fighting in the Valley Campaigns of 1864 před kapitulací u Appomattoxu v dubnu 1865. Pluk byl fakticky zničen na Battle of Spotsylvania Court House, a jeho zbytky vytvořily konsolidovanou brigádu pro Jubal Early's Valley campaigns and the last battles of the war.
