Guangzhou Military Region

The Guangzhou Military Region was a military region of the People's Liberation Army based in Guangzhou from 1955 to 2016. It was formed from part of the Central China Military Region, and it controlled Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Hubei, and Hainan It was reorganized into the Southern Theater Command in 2016.
