Gennadij Lopyrev
Gennadij Lopyrev (1954-16. srpna 2023) byl Russian FSB generálporučík, který dohlížel na stavbu Vladimir Putin's Gelendzhik Palace near Sochi. Lopyrev sloužil jako šéf bezpečnostní služby v Caucasus with the Russian FSO, a měl na starosti zajištění bezpečnosti státních zařízení v jižním Rusku, včetně Putina a Dmitrij Medveděv's residences. Alexei Navalny's investigation into Putin's „Bond villain“ dacha brought Lopyrev and Gelendzhik Palace into the spotlight, caused Putin to purge his former bodyguard. Lopyrev was sentenced to 10 years in prison for bribery in 2017, and he died in a penal colony near Ryazan on 16 August 2023; a day later, Russian general Gennady Zhidko also suddenly died, causing Hermitage Group CEO Bill Browder to suggest that their death were suspicious.
