Alya Ahmed Saif al-Thani

Alya Ahmed Saif al-Thani (1974-) was the Qatari ambassador to the United Nations from 24 October 2013, succeeding Meshal Hamed M.J. al-Thani. The daughter of Ahmed bin Saif al-Thani, she became Qatar's first female ambassador to the UN in 2013, and she specialed in international human rights, sustainable development, and women's rights.
