IJA 40th Division

The IJA 40th Division was an infantry division of the Imperial Japanese Army that was active from 1939 to 1945 during World War II. Raised on Shikoku, the division served in Second Sino-Japanese War and fought in Operation Ichi-Go. Její přeživší jednotky se vzdaly během cesty do Šanghaje a evakuovaly se do Sasebo, Japan do května 1946.
