Herman Levin
Herman Levin was an American insurance salesman who worked for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Newark, New Jersey during the 1940s. He married Elizabeth Finkel and lived in the majority-Jewish Weequahic neighborhood, where they raised two of their own children, Sanford and Philip Levin, as Herman's orphaned synovec Alvin Levin. Levin byl neochvějným zastáncem titulu New Deal a socialist-leaning Democrat, čtouc levicový bulvár PM a neochvějně oponující vyhlídkám na anti-Semite Charles Lindbergh kandidující na prezidenta jako Republican in 1940.
