Eric Fletcher Waters

Eric Fletcher Waters (1914-18. února 1944) byl Britská armáda podporučík, který sloužil v 8. praporu, Royal Fusiliers during Druhá světová válka. Narozen v County Durham, syn horníka, byl oddaným Christian and pacifist, a stal se učitelem, Labour aktivista, and CPGB člen. In the early years of World War II, he refused military service for his pacifism, instead driving an ambulance during the Blitz. However, his anti-fascist zeal ultimately led him to join the Territorial Army and become a Second Lieutenant in the British Army on 11 September 1943. He took part in the amphibious attack on Anzio in January 1944, and he was killed in action at the Battle of Aprilia in February 1944.
