Nálet na zámek Berengar nastal 29. května 1944, když American OSS operative Karl Fairburne raided the German-occupied Chateau de Berengar in France and gathered intelligence on Operation Kraken.

The Allies first acquired information on SS-Obergruppenführer Abelard Möller's covert operation after Bletchley Park odposlechl jeden z Möllerových telefonních rozhovorů v důsledku přepadu Colleville-sur-Mer raid. OSS agent Karl Fairburne, stranded in France after the Germans destroyed his submarine, worked with the French Resistance to hunt Möller at the chateau and avenge his atrocities against Colleville's French Resistance fighters. Fairburneovi se podařilo sundat desítky německých vojáků na zámku a dokonce zabil Möllerova synovce Friedrich Kummler tím, že na něj spadl lustr. Zatímco Möller nebyl ve své kanceláři, Fairburneovi se podařilo získat dokumenty odhalující existenci operace Kraken a Ausland SD špionážní základna na Mont-Saint-Michel. Fairburne poté unikl s úmyslem přepadnout katedrálu Mont-Saint-Michel kvůli dalším informacím.
