Conservatives

The Conservatives were a reactionary faction of hardline Manchu nobleman in the Qing imperial court that emerged in the 1890s and 1900s. They consisted of many former members of the Imperial Faction and seeking to keep their power from the Reformers and their liberal allies, as well the conservative and ambitious Beiyang >clique. Konzervativci preferovali státní kapitalismus, jingoismus a moralismus, a snažili se bránit tradiční řád v Číně, který existoval po staletí a byl vysoce anti-cizinecký. Jeden z jeho hlavních vůdců kromě Empress Dowager Cixi byl Zaiyi, Prince Dun. Přestala existovat po roce 1911 Xinhai Revolution svrhla dynastii Čching.
