Cornelius Phelip

Cornelius Phelip was an English Puritan settler who lived in Taunton, Massachusetts Bay Colony during the mid-17th century. He and most of his fellow Puritans were staunch Parliamentarians and later Whigs due to their opposition to Anglican absolutism and preference for Congregationalist and democratic forms of government.
