Hamid Raja Shalah al-Tikriti

Hamid Raja Shalah al-Tikriti (1950-) byl leteckým maršálem Ba'athist Iraq který sloužil jako vrchní velitel Irácké letectvo od poloviny 90. let do roku 2003.

Biography

Hamid Raja Shalah al-Tikriti se narodil v roce 1950 v Baiji, Saladin Governorate, Irácké království to a Sunni Muslim Arab family, and he served as a pilot in the Iraqi Air Force. During the Iran-Iraq War, he was charge of the Kirkuk air base and in in in the mid-1990s, Saddam Hussein appointed Shalah as the commander-in the commander-chief of the air force. He was captured on 14 June 2003 by the United States during the Iraq War.
