Bitva u Torchyně
Bitva u Torchyně byla svedena mezi armádami Ruské impérium a Ústřední mocnosti v Torchyni, Volyně v roce 1916 během První světová válka. V bitvě zahájili Rusové neúspěšný útok na German frontová linie u Torchyně v důsledku Brusilov Offensive.Rusové zaslali 1st Argun Cossack Regiment, the 15th Don Cossack Regiment of General Krasnov, the 41st Selenginsk Infantry Regiment, the 30th Poltava Infantry Regiment, the 93rd Irkutsk Infantry Regiment, the Kexholm Guard Infantry Regiment, the 3rd Kurzeme Latvian Rifle Regiment, and the 59th Lublin Infantry Regiment against the 35th Vratsanski Infantry Regiment, the 7th Preslavski Infantry Regiment">7th Preslavski Infantry Regiment, the Bulgarian 41. pěší pluk, the 36th Kozloduyski Infantry Regiment, an Austro-Hungarian Army regiment, and three German regiments in Volhynia; the Vratsanski regiment byl později nahrazen Austrian regiment, německý záložní pluk byl nahrazen Bulgarian regiment a bulharský 41. a 36. pluk byly také nahrazeny rakousko-uherskými silami. Rusové byli schopni převzít kontrolu nad polovinou bojiště a zadržet několik rakousko-uherských a německých útoků, ale Ústřední mocnosti nakonec přemohly ruské síly a ukončily jejich ofenzívu. Bojové linie zůstaly statické, protože Němci nebyli schopni plně dobýt nedávno dobyté území.
