The Battle of Mateur was a battle of World War II that occurred from 1 to 6 February 1943 in Tunisia, North Africa. Percy Hobart's British 6th Armored Division (9 000-strong) pushed into north Tunisia Bizerte region after pushing through northern Algeria, and the 6th Armored Division was encountered by the 6,000-strong Afrika-Brigade 999.
