Basel Ghalyoun

Basel Ghalyoun (narozen 1980) is a Syrian member of Al-Qaeda who is responsible for the 2004 Madrid train bombings.

Biography

Ghalyoun was born in Syria in 1980, and came to Spain in the late 1990s for engineering studies. He became an associate of Al-Qaeda and housed the bombers in the 2004 Madrid train bombings, and recruited members of the Madrid cell of Al-Qaeda from local mosques.
