55. prapor (New South Wales Irish Rifles)
The 55th Battalion (New South Wales Irish Rifles) was an infantry battalion of the Australian Army that was active from 1916 to 1919, from 1921 to 1937 and from 1941 to 1942. The battalion was formed in New South Wales for service in Australian Imperial Force during World War I, and it served on the Western Front of the Great War before serving on Guinea">New Guinea and Bougainville during World War II and disbanding in 1946.
