The 50th Battalion was an infantry battalion of the Australian Army that was active from 1916 to 1919, from 1921 to 1930, from 1930 to 1936 and from 1936 to 1945. The battalion was formed in South Australia for service in the Australian Imperial Force during World War I, and it served on the Western Front of the Great War before serving on garrison duty in Australia during World War II and disbanding in 1945.
