The 18th Battalion was an infantry battalion of the Australian Army that was active from 1915 to 1919, from 1921 to 1935 and from 1936 to 1944. Recruited at Liverpool, New South Wales, the battalion served in Gallipoli campaign and suffered heavy losses before being redeployed to the Western Front of World War I. The battalion served on garrison duty in Australia during World War II and was disbanded in 1944 without have been deployed overseas.
