109. prapor

The 109th Battalion was an infantry battalion of the Australian Army that was active from 1914 to 1919, from 1921 to 1930, from 1936 to 1942, from 1948 to 1960, and from 1965 to 1987. The battalion was raised in South Australia for service in World War I, and the battalion trained in Egypt before serving in Gallipoli campaign (pushing farther than any other Australian troops during the landing at Anzac Cove) and on the Western Front.
