Attacks on Bien Hoa and Long Binh
K útokům na Bien Hoa a Long Binh došlo od 31. ledna do 2. února 1968 během Tet Offensive of the Vietnam War.Během Viet Cong and NVA attack on the South Vietnamese capital of Saigon, the communist forces also targeted the airbase of Bien Hoa and the towns and countryside arond Long Binh. The Viet Cong commandoes managed to slip through the wires of Long Binh and blow up a huge ammunition dump, creating a mushroom cloud which some Americans thought was a nuclear explosion. Vietkong a NVA byly nakonec zatlačeny zpět s těžkými ztrátami kvůli jejich odhodlání k postupným útokům spíše než k totálním útokům a škody napáchané na základnách byly relativně minimální. Po útocích USA vylepšily opevnění svých základen, aby je ochránily před dalšími Communist útoky.
