Biography

Aši z Thornu se narodil v roce 1052 v dnešním Torunu, Poland do Ashkenazi Jewish family, a přišel s vysoce doporučenými v umění účetnictví a správy. Dne 12. února 1082, Aši odcestoval do Muslim Seljuk Empire. He already suggested several ways of increasing the bureaucratic efficiency of the realm, and he could potentially make a fine steward. Malik Shah received him and made him the Steward of the Seljuk Sultanate, and he married him to Derav, a low born woman of the realm.
