11. arrondissement
The 11th arrondissement is one of the 20 arrondissements of Paris, France, situated on the right bank of the Seine. The 11th arrondissement was formed from the Faubourg du Temple and Faubourg Saint-Antoine suburbs of Paris, and it became a working-class district populated by workers and craftsmen. It was also the site of three prisons, the Bastille and the Petite and Grande Roquette prisons at the Square de la Roquette.
